Zimin A.V. General director | In 1991 a company with definite and clear targets in the field of different types of minerals processing was founded: to develop and to master manufacture of domestic mineral processing equipment compliant with the worldwide level and, first of all, to manufacture flotation machines. A group of the experienced designers and process engineers from the design-and-experimental division of the former All-union scientific-and-research and designing institute Mekhanobr formed key personnel. By the present time the company has grown up to the level of a multi-business, widely known science and production association RIVS (Closed Joint Stock Company Scientific and Production Association RIVS (CJSC SPA RIVS)), which offers a full range of works – starting from metal mining raw materials processing technology, equipment manufacture and designing to turnkey with a guaranteed performance achieved. The company possesses a highly qualified personnel consisting of mineral processors, designers, mechanics, specialists in the field of preparation plants and dressing mills automated systems. There are 2 Full members of Departmental Academies, 2 Doctors and 12 Candidates of sciences (engineering), and a considerable amount of long-service practical work specialists among employees |
In 2005 the company new subdivision – CJSC RIVS-project was founded. For a short period of time design works performed by RIVS-project have widely spread over dressing mills in Russian, as well as abroad.
Branches and representative offices are founded and now work in Mongolia, Armenia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, in the Urals, on the Kola Peninsula. There are independent production facilities for minerals processing equipment manufacturing.
The Association also includes the industrial rubber goods plant delivering products to one hundred fifty six customers in CIS countries and Mongolia.
Together with Uralmash LLC the Association is busy with ore preparation process improvement and new process technology development with new crushing and grinding equipment delivery.
Production mobility allows CJCS SPA RIVS manufacture and deliver equipment and spare parts to Customers within the shortest timeframe.
Every year 300-400 flotation machines cells of 0.5 – 100 m3 capacity are manufactured to satisfy enterprises’ demand.
When forming manufacture structure the Association, first of all, based on the target to manufacture equipment competitive in quality and performance with leading worldwide manufacturers. The Company is constantly enlarging and improving its structure.
Usage of modern materials, best models of component parts and modern equipment makes it possible to manufacture equipment at a totally new level in compliance with worldwide standards.
A broad range of spare parts is also manufactured at production facilities of CJCS SPA RIVS for newly- manufactured equipment and for existing equipment as well.
While manufacturing a broad range of mineral processing equipment the Association offers a full set of services for the whole operation period of the equipment. Technical and engineering support is offered for the period of implementation and maintenance.
The Association obtained great experience in processing plants long-term operation equipment upgrading and rehabilitation. At the same time, it is ensured that the customer will receive better performance, which was many times confirmed by industrial enterprises after upgrading operation experience.
A high level of unification and maintainability put into the Association equipment makes it possible to carry out machines and mechanisms upgrading in field within the shortest timeframe
The Association successfully develops the following major directions of its business activity
• ore preparation schemes and methods improvement;
• development of new breakthrough mineral processing technologies using modern highly effective flotation reagents that allow considerable improvement of performance in spite of engagement of low-grade and rebelliuos ore in processing
• scope of design works growth using 3D modeling;
• development, manufacture and implementation of flotation machines new processing equipment and different purpose vats (tanks) with cells capacity up to 200- 200 m3; agitation facilities and facilities for mechanical removal of slime films from ore smalls; screens of special purpose to meet the customer’s conditions; hydrocyclones and hydrocyclone pumping units, pulp distributors, laboratory equipment, etc..
The Association is constantly increasing a scope of scientific and research, engineering and designing works.
For example, in 2010 -2011 there were performed over 30 scientific and research works, there were made 9 processing procedures, about 19 projects, there was enlarged geography of the mills which the company cooperates with: in Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and far-abroad countries - in Mongolia, Philippines.
The following works among the last important ones should be mentioned:
• within the shortest timeframe the processing procedure was developed, design was executed and a gold beneficiation plant was built in Zarmitan (Novoy mining and metallurgical industrial complex, Uzbekistan);
• a processing procedure was developed and Nikolaev processing plant (Kazakhstan) upgrading and rehabilitation design was executed;
• the design project was executed and installation of equipment for the new 4th cell of a bulk flotation at the Erdenet processing plant (Mongolia) will be soon completed.
It is possible to give some more examples of the Association successful activity in development and implementation of modern technologies in the field of minerals processing at the enterprises of Russia, CIS countries, Asia and Europe equipped with competitive equipment manufactured at SPA RIVS facilities.
A considerable scope of works is being carried out upon operation procedures automation: the Association technologies and equipment in the processing plants modern automated process control system (PCS) are being developed and implemented.
Created Analytical centre provides technological research with analytical monitoring which is performed by the company and it executes the whole set of works in equipping of mining processing plants with modern analytical equipment and software for research and chemical laboratories needs, as well as for creation of automated systems of analytical monitoring operating within plants PCS.
Minerals processing new technologies development and design works execution are implemented with participation of the company ecologists ensuring compliance with active ecological requirements and standards.
The Association carries out an active information promotion: once per 2 years it holds scientific and practical conferences and publishes employees’ articles in special issues of Mining journal, it takes part in CIS countries Congresses, conferences, exhibitions, symposiums, etc.
The Association has 48 valid patents, it has passed certification and received quality conformance to national and international standards certificates of series GOST R ISO 9001-2008, (quality systems registration number № 10009) in relation to designing, equipment and automation facilities manufacturing, and to processing manufacturing engineering support.
15 types of equipment for mineral processing are certified, Rostekhnadzor (Federal Agency for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision) permit is received for use at hazardous branches of industry.
