Researches on hydrometallurgical processing of zinc-containing wastes of steel production.

Under the agreement with PJSC Severstal, the first stage of work was completed. An analytical review of methods for processing zinc-containing wastes of ferrous metallurgy was given, the chemical, mineralogical, and phase compositions of typical current zinc-containing wastes of steelmaking were studied.
Various chemicals are currently being tested for the selective leaching of zinc from the products presented.
